Thursday, October 16th, 2014      Fire Investigation  C14-221287 On October 16, 2014 at approximately 9:10 a.m. emergency services responders were dispatched to a high school in the 800 block of Concordia Avenue for a report of a fire that was discovered in a second floor washroom.   Students and staff members were evacuated from the school and there were no reported injuries.   Upon arrival, members of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service quickly extinguished the fire, which was contained inside the washroom area.   Damage estimates are valued at approximately $500,000 as a result of the extensive smoke damage to the school and contents.     It is believed that the fire was deliberately set.
