Public Advisory - Door-to-Door Canvassing

We All Have a Role to Play in Crime Prevention

Due to recent reports of a suspicious male canvassing in the Charleswood area, the Winnipeg Police Service would like to remind the public not to provide money to anyone soliciting funds without the proper credentials.  If in doubt, it is suggested that confirmation of a fundraising campaign be done prior to providing a donation.

Recognizing the importance citizens play in combatting crime, this advisory is aimed at residents city-wide to ensure they have the information they need to protect themselves from the possibility of being victimized.

Working together, we can and will keep crime in check.
