Update – Vehicle of Missing Man Located – Brian Hurst – R14-71306
As previously released - the Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public's assistance in locating a 61 year old male, Brian HURST.  HURST was last seen leaving his residence in Winnipeg on September 27, 2014 and was believed to be travelling to the Kenora area.
 
HURST is described as Caucasian, 5'6" tall, 130 pounds, short brown/grey hair and blue eyes.  He was last seen wearing a long sleeved yellow sweater, t-shirt, khaki shorts, and runners.   HURST also wears hearing aids.


    
                                                                                                                 
On Tuesday October 7, 2014 shortly before 8:00 pm, the OPP were notified that hunters in the area located HURST'S 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport on a trail in the Gordon Lake Road area.  The vehicle was locked and undamaged. The OPP and Northwest Region ERT are conducting a search of the surrounding area in an attempt to locate HURST. 
 
Members of the public should be aware that police will be in the area, both in the woods and on the roads. 
 
Anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of HURST is asked to call the Kenora OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or the Winnipeg Police Service Missing Persons Unit at 204-986-6250.
