Stolen Vehicle Arrests – R14-73636
On October 9, 2014, the Winnipeg Police Service received the report of a vehicle having been stolen sometime overnight in the St. Vital area.
 
On October 11 at approximately 1:50 a.m. general patrol members observed the vehicle with four occupants in the area of Andrews Street and Boyd Avenue.  Upon seeing police, the driver fled at a high rate of speed however stopped a short distance away at which time all four occupants fled on foot.  Several units, including those from the Tactical Support Team and Canine, flooded the area and as a result all four suspects were located and arrested without incident.
 
A 12-year-old male of Winnipeg has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000, Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition, Fail to Comply Condition Undertaking x 3 & Fail to Comply with Disposition for his alleged involvement.
 
He has been detained at the Manitoba Youth Centre.
 
A 20-year-old male of Winnipeg has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 & Fail to Comply with Probation Order for his alleged involvement.
 
He has been detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
 
Two females, both 15 years of age from Winnipeg are facing a charge of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 for their alleged involvement.
 
Both were released via Promises to Appear.
