Tuesday, October 7, 2014 Sexual Assault Arrest C14-61665 Between January and March 2014, the following incidents occurred involving the same male suspect which were ultimately reported to police and investigated. A 34 year-old male while on parole, was out in the community when he assaulted his support worker by ramming a shopping cart into his worker's lower body causing an injury. During a second incident, the male sexually assaulted a female support worker while out in the community by groping her in the lower body. A third incident occurred while on a transit bus, when the male made contact of a sexual nature against a young female passenger unknown to him. The final incident occurred in the area of the 1000 block of Main Street when the suspect began yelling at a male youth from a second floor window. He then exposed himself while performing an indecent act. The male suspect was later incarcerated as a result of unrelated matters. The investigation continued and charges for these previously mentioned incidents were authorized and a warrant was granted. On October 3, 2014, members of the Manitoba Integrated High Risk Sex Offender Unit arrested the male at the Stony Mountain Institution. Russell Rolando PLETT, 34 years-old has been charged with the following offences due to his alleged involvement: Sexual Assault x 2 Assault with a Weapon Indecent Exposure to a Person under 16 years of age He was remanded into custody. Assault Peace Officer Arrest C14-213797 On October 6, 2014 at approximately 7:55 p.m., Auxiliary Cadet Members responded to a business located in the 200 block of Graham Avenue regarding an intoxicated female requiring assistance. Attending members located an adult female and detained her under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act. While Paramedics were assessing the female, she began spitting and became extremely combative. As a result, a cadet member was kicked in the lower body on two occasions. Evanne HAWK, 23 years-old of Winnipeg has been charged with Assault Peace Officer due to her alleged involvement.
