BREAK AND ENTER INVESTIGATIONS   C13-156293 C13-194625

On August 6, 2013 at approximately 4:00 a.m., a camera shop located in the 900 block of Portage Avenue was broken into. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a large quantity of camera equipment before fleeing.
 
On September 24, 2013, the same business was broken into in a similar fashion and again, a large quantity of camera equipment was removed.
 
On October 28, 2013 at approximately 5:00 a.m., a camera shop located in the 600 block of Empress Street was broken into. Similar to the previous incidents, the glass to the front door was smashed and entry was gained. The suspects removed a large quantity of camera equipment and fled in a vehicle.  
 
The total amount of property stolen is estimated at over $56,000.00. No arrest(s) have been made at this time.
 
Members of the Division 11 Crime Unit continue to investigate. As a result of the on-going investigations, it is believed that the same suspect(s) may be involved.
 
Serial numbers for the stolen equipment have been verified and surveillance video from the most recent break-in has been reviewed.
 
The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting members of the public to be aware of anyone in possession of a large quantity of high end camera equipment for sale at a reduced price.
