INDECENT ACT   C14-0009417
On January 13, 2014 at 5:15 p.m., a 19 year old female was walking in the area of Risbey Crescent and Peltier Avenue when a male operating a truck pull up along-side her.
 
The lone male occupant proceeded to ask for directions when the female observed the male exposing himself while performing an indecent act.  
 
No contact was made and the female fled the area.
 
The suspect is described as: male, Caucasian, approximately 40 years-old, brown hair (buzz cut) and wearing sunglasses.
 
The suspect truck is described as: two door, light blue, approximately a 2000 model.
 
West District Detectives continue to investigate. Anyone with information regarding this incident or further details regarding the suspect is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-2877 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
 
 
COMMERCIAL ROBBERIES   C14-0009600 C14-0009618
On January 13, 2014 at 8:35 p.m., two female suspects entered a business located in the 1500 block of Kenaston Boulevard.
 
The suspects robbed the store of an undisclosed amount of merchandise after threatening staff with a weapon.
 
No one was injured and the suspects fled.
 
At 8:55 p.m., two female suspects entered another business located in the 1500 block of Kenaston Boulevard.
 
The suspects began removing merchandise from the store when they were approached by staff. It was at this time the suspects threatened to harm the employees, suggesting they were armed with a weapon.
 
No one was injured and the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of merchandise.
 
The suspects are described as:
 
Suspect 1 – Female, Aboriginal in appearance, mid-twenties, 180 lbs., heavy build and dyed red hair with black on the ends. 
 
Suspect 2 - Female, Aboriginal in appearance, mid-twenties, thinner build than suspect 2 and dark hair with blonde highlights.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-9219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
 
 
HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION – ARREST   C14-0009618
The Winnipeg Police Service Missing Persons Unit has requested the public's assistance on several occasions in the past regarding the whereabouts of 21 year-old, Robert (Bobby) THOMSON. 
 
As a result of a lengthy investigation involving the Missing Persons Unit and Homicide Unit, it has been determined that Robert THOMSON is deceased and considered a victim of a homicide.
 
The investigation has revealed that THOMSON met a male and female on July 21, 2012 while in the area of River Avenue and Osborne Street. While together, the three purchased liquor and proceeded to socialize near the Assiniboine riverbank.
 
At one point during the evening, THOMSON and the male became involved in a serious physical altercation. The incident concluded with THOMSON being put into the river and the male suspect fleeing the area.  
 
On January 13, 2014, 21 year-old, Tanner James PREVOST was arrested while in custody on an unrelated matter and charged with 2nd Degree Murder due to his alleged involvement.
 
He remains in custody.
