STRONG ARM ROBBERY – C14-000472
On January 1, 2014 members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched for the report of a strong arm robbery.
 
Officers met with the 46 year old victim who advised that on December 31 at approximately 10:30 p.m. he had been walking in the area of Magnus Avenue and McPhillips Street.  It was at this time that three unknown males ran up from behind, assaulted and robbed him of cash and personal property.
 
The victim suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries to the upper body which he received treatment for.
 
The suspects are described as:

  1. Male, Aboriginal in appearance, 20-30 years of age with long dark hair.  He was wearing a white jacket with fur hood
  2. Male, Aboriginal in appearance, 20-30 years of age.  He was wearing jeans, white hoody, black toque and black gloves.
  3. Caucasian male, 20-30 years of age with a medium build and brown hair.  He was wearing a black jacket.

The investigation is continuing by members of the District 3 Crime Unit.  Anyone with information regarding this incident or the identity of the suspect(s) is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-2848 or CrimeStoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
