DRUG WARRANT ARRESTS – C14-13421
In December of 2013 members of the East District Community Support Unit became aware of drugs being sold from a residence in the 1st 100 block of Arrowwood Drive South.  As a result of their investigation a Controlled Drugs and Substances (CDSA) search warrant was applied for and granted.
 
On January 18, 2014 with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team and uniform members the search warrant was executed.  Two males and a female within the residence were arrested without incident.
 
The following was seized:

  • 5 ounces of powder cocaine with an estimated street value of $8,500.00
  • 73 grams of benzocaine with an estimated street value of $200.00
  • $12,290.00 in Canadian currency
  • $101.00 in U.S. currency
  • Digital scales and cell phones

Viet Hung TRAN 32 years of Winnipeg has been charged with Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – COCAINE and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime for his alleged involvement.
 
He was detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
 
A 35 year old male from Winnipeg is facing charges of Traffic in Scheduled Substance – COCAINE and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime for his alleged involvement.
 
He was released via a Promise to Appear.
 
The 27 year old female was later released without charges.
