COMMERCIAL ROBBERY & THEFT ARRESTS - R14-3094
Between April 22, 2013 and January 10, 2014 the Winnipeg Police Service received numerous reports of commercial robberies and thefts occurring at liquor marts throughout the city.  They include:

  • April 22, 2013 – 900 block of Portage Avenue
  • September 5, 2013 – 1st 100 block of Vermillion Road
  • December 11, 2013 – 10000 block of Main Street
  • December 27, 2013 – 900 block of Leila Avenue
  • December 29, 2013 – 1600 block of Main Street
  • December 29, 2013 – 1000 block of Main Street
  • December 31, 2013 – 1000 block of Mani Street
  • January 2, 2014 – 1600 block of Ness Avenue
  • January 3, 2014 – 1000 block of Main Street
  • January 3, 2014 – 1600 block of Ness Avenue
  • January 6, 2014 – 1000 block of Main Street
  • January 8, 2014 – 1600 block of Ness Avenue
  • January 9, 2014 – 900 block of Portage Avenue
  • January 10, 2014 – 900 block of Portage Avenue
  • January 10, 2014 – 1000 block of Main Street
  • January 10, 2014 – 900 block of Portage Avenue

Members of the District 3 Crime Unit continued with the investigation and were able to identify two suspects.
 
On January 17, 2014 the suspects were located and arrested without incident.
 
Two males, 17 & 18 years of age, both from Winnipeg have been charged with numerous Robbery, Theft, Weapons and Breach of Court Order related offences for their alleged involvement.
 
Both were detained in custody.
