COMMERCIAL ROBBERY – C14-006599
On January 10, 2014 shortly after 4:00 a.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to a convenience store in the 1300 block of Main Street for the report of a commercial robbery.
 
Officers met with the clerk and a customer who advised that a lone male armed with a weapon had entered the store and immediately began demanding money.  The suspect proceeded to go behind the counter and take an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.  The suspect then fled the store, followed by the clerk and customer; however he was able to make good his escape.
 
Neither the clerk nor customer was injured.

The suspect is described as: Aboriginal in appearance, 5'8" tall with a skinny build and short dark hair.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter or the identity of the suspect(s) is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
