COMMERCIAL ROBBERY C13-204222
On October 5, 2013 at approximately 6:10 p.m., officers responded to a robbery incident at a gas bar located in the 300 block of Wardlaw Avenue.
A male suspect entered the business while attempting to conceal his identity. He confronted a male employee and demanded cash. An undisclosed amount was obtained and the suspect fled.
No injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as: Male, Caucasian, approximately 5'8" tall, medium build, blonde hair and blue eyes.
Members of the Major Crimes Unit continue to investigate.

On October 5, 2013 at approximately 9:50 p.m., officers responded to a robbery incident at a restaurant located in the 1000 block of St. Mary's Road.
An armed male suspect entered the business while attempting to conceal his identity. He confronted a male employee and demanded cash. An undisclosed amount was obtained and the suspect fled.
No injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as: Male, Aboriginal in appearance, heavy build, 220-250 lbs. and 20-26 years of age.
Members of the Major Crimes Unit continue to investigate.

FIRES C13-204562
On October 6, 2013 between 4:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., emergency personnel responded to several fires in the St. Boniface area of the city.
- 500 block of Des Meurons Street
- 400 block of Desautels Street
- 500 block of De La Morenie Street
- 300 block of Provencher Boulevard
As a result of these fires, damage was caused to vehicles, garages and garbage bins.
These fires are considered to be suspicious in nature. Members of the Arson Strike Force have been notified.
