COMMERCIAL ROBBERIES – C13-132869, 133114 & 133251
On Saturday, July 6, 2013 members of the Winnipeg Police Service received the report of three commercial robberies.
 
Shortly before 11:00 a.m. officers attended to a restaurant in the 1500 block of St. Mary's Road.  The employee advised that a male armed with a weapon approached the till, demanded and received an undisclosed amount of money.  He then fled the store.  The employee was not injured.  
 
At approximately 6:15 p.m. officers attended to business in the 100 block of St Anne's Road where they met with a 27 year old clerk.  She advised that a male, armed with a weapon demanded and received an undisclosed amount of money.  The male then fled on foot.  The clerk was not injured.
 
At approximately 9:45 p.m. officers attended to a restaurant in the 1st 100 block of Vermillion Road.  At that time they learned that a male, armed with a weapon had demanded money but was refused.  The suspect left the restaurant without obtaining any monies.  No one was injured.
 
The suspect is similar in each incident and is described as: Caucasian, 50-60 years of age, 5'6-5'11" in height with a medium build and short brown/grey hair.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit.  Anyone with information regarding these incidents or the identity of the suspect(s) is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
 
 
SHOTS FIRED - C13-133534
As already reported in the media, on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at approximately 3:30 a.m. Winnipeg Police Service members responded to a residence within the 600 block of St John's Avenue for the report of a sound of shots.
 
Responding members located damage to a residence consistent with having been the result of a firearm discharge.
 
The lone resident home at the time of the incident was not injured. 
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit.  Anyone with information regarding this incident or the identity of the suspect(s) is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
