UPDATE - HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION - ARREST - C13-128266
As previously released -on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at approximately 5:30 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to the 300 block of Langside Street to check on the wellbeing of an individual.
 
Responding members located an adult male who had been assaulted, sustaining life-threatening injuries.  
 
Brian O'Donnell, 68 years-old has since succumbed to his injuries.
 
The investigation has revealed that the victim was confronted near his residence and stabbed.
 
The cause of death is pending the results of an autopsy.
 
Members of the Homicide Unit with the assistance of Patrol members, Tactical Support Team, Forensics Identification Unit and Cadets continued with the investigation.

 

Naomi Shianne ROSS, 18 years-old has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder and detained.  
 
The investigation is on-going.
