MISCHIEF UNDER $5000.00 ARRESTS – C13-133360
On Saturday, July 6, 2013 shortly before midnight Winnipeg Police Service members were dispatched to a school in the 1500 block of Elgin Avenue West for the report of people on the roof damaging property.
 
Air1 attended and observed two persons on the roof appear to hide something prior to jumping off and fleeing.  Canine members were able to track one of the suspects and arrest him a short distance away.  The second suspect was located by General Patrol members and arrested. 
 
A search of the roof revealed that the suspects had hidden a pellet gun.
 
A 14 year old male youth from Winnipeg has been charged with Mischief Under $5,000.00, Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose and Failure to comply with sentence.  He was detained at the Manitoba Youth Centre.
 
A second 14 year old male youth from Winnipeg is facing charges of Mischief Under $5,000.00, Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose.  He is also facing a charge of Assault with a Weapon for an unrelated offence.  He was released via a Promise to Appear.
