CHILD PORNOGRAPHY ARREST – R13-032043
In May of 2013 members of the Winnipeg Police Service Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit were contacted by the National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre (NCECC) in Ottawa.  Information provided was that pornographic images of children had been uploaded to the internet by a Winnipeg resident.
 
Members of the ICE unit entered into an investigation which led to a search warrant being executed in the northwest part of the city on July 4, 2013.
 
Luke Brandon NEUMANN 27 years of Winnipeg has been arrested and charged with Possessing Child Pornography and Importing/Distributing Child Pornography. 
 
He has been detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
 
 
COMMERCIAL ROBBERY – C13-131630
On Thursday, July 4, 2013 shortly after 9:00 p.m. Winnipeg Police Service members were dispatched to a gas bar in the 600 block of Notre Dame Avenue for the report of a commercial robbery.
 
Attending officers met with the 25 year old attendant who advised that he had been working behind the counter when a male had entered the store, demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash after which he fled the store.
 
The attendant was not injured.
 
The suspect is described as: Aboriginal in appearance, 30 years with a skinny build, goatee and several scabs on his face.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit.  Anyone with information regarding this matter or the identity of the suspect(s) is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
