SUSPICIOUS PERSON - C13-026247
On February 8, 2013, at approximately 12:00 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the area of Main Street and Burrin Avenue regarding a suspicious vehicle and occupants.
 
Officers were advised that within a 45 minute span two separate incidents occurred, both involving 13 year old males.  Both complainants advised they had been walking in the area when they were approached by two unknown males in a vehicle. In each incident the suspect vehicle stopped and one of the occupants stated 'GET IN THE CAR'.  Both suspects remained inside the vehicle and the children ran to school and notified the principal.
 
 The suspects and vehicle are described as:

  • Driver - Male, East Indian in appearance, mid 20s, short dark hair wearing a leather jacket and black hat.  Spoke with a lisp.
  • Passenger - Male, Caucasian, mid 20s, unshaven wearing black sunglasses.
  • Four door black Cadillac Escalade with silver rims and tinted windows.

The investigation is on-going. Anyone with information regarding this matter is asked to contact police or CrimeStoppers at 786-TIPS (8477).
