COMMERCIAL ROBBERY – C13-033105
On Monday, February 18, 2013 at approximately 10:45 a.m. officers were dispatched to a pharmacy in the 1st 100 block of Osborne Street for the report of a commercial robbery.
 
Attending officers met with the pharmacist who advised that a lone male had approached the counter stating he was armed with a weapon though none was seen.  The male then stole the following medications:

  • 190 x 10 mg tabs of OxyIR (Oxycodone)
  • 23 x 8 mg tabs & 16 x 2mg tabs of Suboxone

No one was injured during the incident.
 
The suspect is described as: Caucasian, mid 50s, 6'2" in height with a medium build.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter or the identity of the suspect(s) is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
 
The Winnipeg Police Service reminds the public that taking large quantities of these medications alone or in combination with other drugs or alcohol could be dangerous to your health or fatal.
