COMMERCIAL ROBBERY ARREST C13-24579
On Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at approximately 4:30 a.m. Winnipeg Police Service members were dispatched to a convenience store in the 1300 block of Main Street for the report of a commercial robbery.
A lone male suspect, armed with a weapon had approached a clerk, demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cigarettes. The suspect then fled the store, however was taken into custody without incident in the parking lot by responding officers.
Both the weapon and stolen property were recovered.
Neither of the two clerks that were working at the time was injured.
Alister Preston OKIMAW, 32 yearsof Winnipeg has been detained in custody and is facing a single charge of Robbery with weapon.
FINANCIAL ROBBERY C13-24862
On Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at approximately 3:00 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service attended to the 1000 block of St Marys Road regarding the robbery of a financial institution.
The investigation has revealed that two armed male suspects, while concealing their identity, entered the business and confronted several employees. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken and the suspects fled.
No one was injured during the incident.
Both suspects are described as Caucasian and in their twenties.

SEXUAL ASSAULT INVESTIGATION ARRESTS - R12-131574
In November of 2012, members of the Winnipeg Police Service Sex Crimes Unit became involved in an investigation regarding the report of multiple historical sexual assaults involving three separate victims.
It was reported that the victims, individually and on separate occasions had attended to the residence of a male and female acquaintance. During these visits, two of the victims were administered a substance which rendered one of them unconscious. All three victims were sexually assaulted.
Upon completion of the investigation, the file was submitted for Crown Opinion. On February 4, 2013, charges were authorized.
On February 6, 2013 a male and female were arrested.
Richard Robert GORDON, 45 years of Winnipeg has been charged with: Sexual Assault x 4, Forcible Confinement x 2 and Administering a stupefying substance to overcome resistance to Sexual Assault x 3 due to his alleged involvement.
Jackie Erin BURGOYNE, 34 years of Winnipeg has been charged with: Sexual Assault x 3, Forcible Confinement x 2 and Administering a stupefying substance to overcome resistance to Sexual Assault x 3 due to her alleged involvement.
Both were released via a recognizance.
COMMERCIAL ROBBERY C13-025084
On Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at approximately 8:45 p.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the report of a commercial robbery that had occurred at a convenience store in the 900 block of Redwood Avenue.
Attending members learned that two armed male suspects, with their identities concealed had entered the store, demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes from the lone employee. They then proceeded to rob a customer of personal property. Both suspects then fled the store.
Neither the employee nor customer was injured during the incident.
Both suspects are described as Aboriginal in appearance.

On Thursday, February 7, 2013 at approximately 2:30 a.m. officers were dispatched to a convenience store in the 700 block of Mountain Avenue for the report of a commercial robbery that had just occurred.
Investigation has revealed that a lone female suspect, armed with a weapon entered the store and confronted the two employees. The suspect demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes after which she fled the store.
Neither employee was injured.
The suspect is described as: Aboriginal in appearance, approximately 20-30 years of age with a heavy build and braided long black hair.
