Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

Saturday, February 2, 2013     BREAK AND ENTER – ARREST C13-21519 On February 1, 2013 at approximately 12:50 p.m., Uniform Patrol and members of the Tactical Support Team responded to the report of a break and enter in progress at a residence located in the 500 block of Simcoe Street, involving an armed male suspect.   Attending members located the suspect inside the home. It was at this this time the suspect threatened to set fire to the residence and began igniting items causing smoke to billow from a south side window.   Due to the suspect's actions, members of the Winnipeg Fire Department, including Paramedics were deployed.
