Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

RESIDENTIAL BREAK AND ENTER INVESTIGATION C13-27026
On February 9, 2013, members of the Winnipeg Police Service received the report of a residential break-in at a home located in the first 100 block of Autumnlea Path.
 
Between January 30, 2013 and February 9, 2013 entry was gained and damage was caused to the residence. Once inside, the suspect(s) removed the following items:
 

  • 4 authentic (NHL) New Jersey Devils jerseys
  • A quantity of liquor
  • A leather jacket

 
The investigation is continuing by members of the East District Crime Unit. Anyone with information regarding the break-in, possible suspect(s) or the stolen property is asked to contact investigators at 204 986-2857 or Crime Stoppers at 204 786-TIPS (8477).
 
 
STRONG-ARM ROBBERY C13-28762
On February 12, 2013, at approximately 1:00 p.m., officers responded to a robbery incident that occurred in the area of Portage Avenue and Vaughan Street involving a 38 year old female victim.
 
It was determined that at approximately 12:20 p.m. the victim was confronted by two male suspects while waiting inside a bus shelter. The suspects grabbed at the victim's purse while one of the suspects indicated that he was armed. The victim was not injured and the suspects fled on foot.
 
The stolen property included the following: Large brown purse containing identification, credit cards and an undisclosed amount of cash.
 
The suspect's area described as:
 
1 – Male, Aboriginal in appearance, 16-17 years of age, 5'9" tall, medium build and having a black mark on his left cheek near his nose.
 
2 - Male, Aboriginal in appearance, 16-17 years of age, 5'4" tall and heavy build.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Division 11 Crime Unit. Anyone with information regarding the incident, suspects or the stolen property is asked to contact investigators at 204 986-6668 or Crime Stoppers at 204 786-TIPS (8477).
