Thursday, February 23rd, 2012 2:20 p.m. MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION C12-33287 This afternoon, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Winnipeg Emergency Services responded to a motor vehicle collision that occurred in the 2000 block of Portage Avenue. The investigation has revealed that a Dodge Caravan was travelling east bound on Portage Avenue when the driver lost control. The vehicle crossed the median and was struck by a west bound City of Winnipeg sanding truck. Occupants of the Dodge Caravan, an adult female and two male children, as well as a female driver of the sanding truck were conveyed to hospital. One of the children had initially been transported in unstable condition but has since been upgraded in stable condition. The other people were conveyed in stable condition. East bound Portage Avenue had been closed as a result of the collision but has since re-opened. Division 12 uniformed members are continuing with this investigation.
