Stabbing Arrests – C14-164819
On August 4, 2014 at approximately 9:45 p.m., two female youth confronted a 21 year-old female victim while in the area of Manitoba Avenue and Parr Street.
 
The suspects proceeded to physically assault and stab the victim multiple times before robbing her of personal property.
 
The suspects fled and police were notified.
 
Patrol members, with the assistance of the Canine Unit tracked both females in the area of the 700 block of Dufferin Avenue. A knife, including the victim's property was recovered.
 
The investigation continued by members of the District 3 Crime Unit.
 
The victim is in stable condition.
 
A 15 year-old female and 16 year-old female have been charged with the following offences and detained at the Manitoba Youth Centre:
 
Aggravated Assault
Robbery
 
 
Serious Assault Investigation – C14-164962
On August 5, 2014 at approximately 1:30 a.m., officers responded to the 800 block of Selkirk Avenue regarding a serious assault.
 
A 19 year-old male was located with serious injuries and transported in critical condition. He has since been upgraded to stable.
 
Members of the District 3 Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Section were notified and continue to investigate.
 
Due to the incident, Selkirk Avenue was closed to traffic for a period of time. The roadway has since re-opened.
 
A 27 year-old male is in custody and charges are pending.
