Stabbing Investigation - C14-180405
On August 25, 2014 shortly after 5:00 a.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to the 200 block of Austin Street North for the report of a male having been stabbed.
 
Attending members located an adult male suffering from an apparent stab wound to the upper body.  He was transported to hospital in critical condition.
 
The investigation is continuing and no further information is available at this time.
 
 
Suspicious Males – C14-177063
On the evening of August 20, 2014 the Winnipeg Police Service received a call regarding two suspicious males.
 
Officers met with the complainant who advised that at approximately 4:20 p.m. that afternoon she, along with her two grandchildren, had been at the community water park in the 1400 block of Rothesay Street.  It was at this time she observed two suspicious males, one of whom appeared to be taking photographs of children with his cell phone.  No attempt to speak with any of the children was made by either male.
 
Suspect #1 is described as: Black, 45 years, 6' tall with a muscular build and short black hair,  He was wearing a blue long sleeve shirt, dark pants and black flip flops.
 
Suspect #2 is described as: Asian in appearance, 45 years, 5'7" - 5'8" tall, 165 pounds with shaved dark hair.  He was wearing a light coloured short sleeve shirt, dark pants, white runners and sunglasses.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the East District Crime Unit.  Anyone who has any information regarding this incident or the identity of the suspect(s) is asked to contact investigators at (204)986-2857 or Crime Stoppers at (204)786-TIPS (8477).
