Suspicious Person – C14-165645
On Wednesday, August 6, 2014 shortly before 1:00 a.m. the Winnipeg Police Service received the report of a suspicious person.

Attending officers met with the 15 year old victim who advised that at approximately 12:00 a.m. she had been walking in the area of Rouge Road and Browning Boulevard at which time she was followed by an unknown male.  Becoming fearful for her safety, she began to run.  The suspect chased after the victim and attempted to grab her.  The victim screamed out and the suspect fled, last seen running northbound on Wordsworth Way.

 

The suspect is described as: Aboriginal in appearance, 30-40 years of age, approximately 5'8" tall with a medium build.  He was wearing a black hoody and black pants.


The investigation is continuing by members of the West District Crime Unit. Anyone with information regarding this incident or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-2877 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
