Drug Arrest C14-176125
On August 19, 2014, members of the Division 11 Community Support Unit with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Act search warrant at a suite located in the 400 block of Sargent Avenue.
 
Inside, a lone male occupant was located and taken into custody.
 
After a search of the residence was completed, the following was located and seized by officers:
 
Over 6.7 kilograms of marihuana – estimated street value over $67,000.00
Over $72,000.00 Canadian currency
 
   
 
A 50 year-old male is facing the following charges:
 
Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Marihuana
Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime
 
He was released on an Appearance Notice.
 
 
Voyeurism Investigation - Arrest C14-174977
On August 19, 2014, officers responded to a business located in the 300 block of Gertrude Avenue regarding an indecent act involving employees.
 
Attending members met with an 18 year-old female victim who indicated that she located a cellular phone actively recording her in the bathroom. Further investigation reveals that the device belonging to another employee was concealed in a towel and placed in the female washroom. 
 
A 21 year-old male is facing the following charges:
 
Indecent Act
Fail to Comply Condition Undertaking by Officer in Charge
 
He was release on a Promise to Appear.
 
 
Sexual Assault Investigation C14-177125
On August 20, 2014 at approximately 9:20 p.m., a 48 year-old female was walking in the area of Netley Street and North Drive when she observed a young male on a bike riding toward her. The male initially drove past her but continued to look in her direction.
 
Approximately two minutes later, the male rode up behind the female and groped her in the lower body. The victim screamed however, and the male suspect eventually left the area. Police were notified and met with the victim.
 
The suspect is described as:
 
Caucasian
16-18 years-old
Medium build
Short reddish/brown hair
Red t-shirt and shorts
In possession of a cellular phone
Mountain style bike

Suspicious Vehicle C14-176213
On August 19, 2014 at approximately 7:20 p.m., two females, 11 and 12 years-old were approached by an unknown male in a vehicle while in the area of the Marbury Road and Mapleglen Drive.
 
The girls had been riding there bikes when they got flat tires and began walking northbound on Marbury Road. It was at this time the male drove up and attempted to lure the girls into his vehicle.
 
Both girls turned and ran away.
 
The male is described as:
 
Asian in appearance
30-50 years-old
Short, black hair
Dark sunglasses
 
He was driving:
 
Possible a 2010-2014 Ford Flex, dark blue in colour with a Winnipeg Jets Plate

Commercial Robbery C14-177305
On August 21, 2014 at approximately 1:30 a.m., a gas station located in the 1700 block of Kenaston Boulevard was robbed involving a lone male suspect.
 
The armed suspect confronted staff and robbed the business of an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes. The suspect fled and no one was injured.
 
The suspect is described as:
 
Male
Caucasian (tanned)
5'9" tall
Muscular build
Dark eyes

Stabbing Investigation C14-177288
On August 21, 2014 at approximately 1:00 a.m., emergency personnel responded to a business in the area of Carlton Street and Graham Avenue regarding a stabbing incident.
 
At this time, the investigation has revealed that a 19 year-old male was standing on a patio when he was approached by a group of males. One of the males punched the victim, while another stabbed him in the lower body.
 
The suspects fled and police were notified.
 
The victim is in stable condition and the investigation is continuing by members of the Division 11 Crime Unit.
