Update - Financial Robbery – Arrest C14-161519
As previously released - On July 31, 2014 shortly after 3:00 p.m., Winnipeg Police Service members were dispatched to a bank in the 500 block of Main Street for the report of robbery that had just occurred. 
 
Upon arrival officers learned that a lone female entered the bank and waited in line. When the suspect approached the 28-year-old female teller she immediately demanded money and indicated she had a gun. No gun was seen.
 
The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled. 
 
Investigators previously requested the public's assistance in identifying the female involved. 
 
On August 2, 2014 at approximately 11:00 p.m., officers made contact with the suspect at which time she was placed under arrest.
 
Members of the Major Crimes Unit continued with the investigation.
 
Destinee STRANGER, 26 years of Winnipeg has been charged with Armed Robbery using a Firearm due to her alleged involvement.
 
She was remanded into custody.
