COMMERCIAL ROBBERY – C13-189956
On Friday, September 13, 2013 at approximately 4:30 a.m. a lone male suspect attended to a convenience store in the 800 block of Ellice Avenue.  At that time the suspect approached the clerk, indicated that he had a weapon and then demanded and received an undisclosed amount of money.  The clerk was not injured and no weapon was seen.  The suspect then fled from the store, making good his escape.
 
On Wednesday, September 18, 2013 shortly before 4:00 a.m. Winnipeg Police Service uniform members were in the 400 block of Carlton Street when they observed a commercial robbery at a convenience store.
 
The suspect was seen to flee the store on foot and the officers were able to apprehend the suspect in the area of Carlton Street and Qu'Appelle Avenue.
 
It was learned that the male suspect had attended to the counter indicating that he had a weapon and then demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash from the clerk.  No weapon was seen and the clerk was not injured during the incident.
 
Investigation continued by members of the Major Crimes Unit.  As a result, it was determined that the suspect was also responsible for the commercial robbery on September 13.
 
Patrick Ronaldo KNUBA 25 years of Winnipeg has been charged with Robbery x 2, Breach of Probation x 2 & Fail to Comply with Condition Recognizance x 2 for his alleged involvement.
 
He has been detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
