VEHICLE ROBBERY – C13-176399
On Sunday, September 1, 2013 at approximately 3:00 a.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to the area of Selkirk Avenue and McGregor Street for the report of a stabbing.
 
Responding officers located two victims.  A 31 year old male was transported to hospital in critical condition suffering from wounds to the upper body.  He was later upgraded to stable condition.  The second victim, a 34 year old male suffering minor upper body injury did not require medical attention.
 
It was learned that the victims and four suspects were driving in the 31 year old victim's vehicle.  One of the suspects directed the victim to stop and when he complied the two victims were assaulted.  The suspects then fled in the vehicle which was later recovered.
 
The investigation continued by members of the District 3 Crime Unit.
 
Stephen Michael TOEWS 23 years of Winnipeg has been charged with the following for his alleged involvement:

  • Robbery with weapon
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Breach of Probation X 4

Norma Ellen ANDREWS 22 years of Winnipeg has been charged with the following for her alleged involvement:

  • Robbery with weapon
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Breach of Probation

Both were detained in custody.
