Sunday, September 1, 2013 ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON ARREST – C13-176414 As already reported by some media outlets, at approximately 3:30 a.m. this morning Winnipeg Police Service members were dispatched to the 400 block of Elmhurst Road for the report of a stabbing. Attending members located a 47 year old male victim suffering from a stab wound to the upper body.  He was transported to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable. It was learned that a verbal altercation between two of the attendees escalated to the point where one of them produced a weapon and proceeded to stab the other. A suspect was arrested at the scene. Investigation continued by members of the District 2 Crime Unit and as a result a 17 year old male from Winnipeg is facing a charge of Aggravated Assault for his alleged involvement.
