Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

Monday, June 27th, 2011    HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION – ARREST C11-132705 As previously released, on June 26th, 2011 at approximately 2:45 a.m., emergency personnel responded to a residence in the 400 block of Arlington Street regarding a stabbing incident.   Attending members located 18 year old Steven Kyle DODGE suffering from stab wounds to his upper body. He was conveyed to hospital in critical condition where he later succumbed to injuries sustained.   On June 25th, 2011 at approximately 10:30 p.m., a 27 year old male victim, while standing outside a business located in the 300 block of Nairn Avenue was robbed of his beer and stabbed to the upper body. The suspect subsequently fled the area.   The victim was conveyed to hospital where he remains in stable condition.    Between 11:30 p.m. and midnight, the same suspect attended to a residence located in the 400 block of Arlington Street where he became involved in a domestic related matter. Also present at the time was DODGE who attempted to intervene. DODGE and the suspect while in the rear yard of the residence became involved in a physical confrontation. It was at this time the suspect produced a knife and stabbed DODGE to the upper body.   The suspect fled prior to police arrival.   The investigation continued by members of the Homicide Unit.   On June 26th, 2011, in the area of Bannatyne Avenue and Juno Street, Nathan Allan BRICKLIN, 18 years of age was located and placed under arrest.
