Tuesday, June 21st, 2011 4:30 p.m. STABBING INVESTIGATION C11-128584 On Tuesday, June 21st, 2011 at approximately 12:50 p.m. a number of Winnipeg Police Service Units, along with Emergency Services Responders were dispatched to the area of Higgins Avenue and Main Street, for a report of a stabbing that had just occurred. Upon arrival, officers located a 45 year old male who had been stabbed. Paramedics transported the male to the hospital in critical condition. At this time investigators are interviewing a number of individuals. The condition of the male victim has been upgraded from critical to stable. This investigation is in its early stages and is continuing by the Major Crimes Unit. Further information is expected to be released tomorrow.
