Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

Saturday, June 18th, 2011     FEMALE SHOT On June 17th, 2011 at approximately 4:25 p.m., emergency personnel responded to the area of the 300 block of Charles Street regarding a female shot in the lower body.   Uniform patrol members, Tactical Support Team and members of the Canine Unit attended to the area. An injured 43 year old female was located and subsequently transported to hospital in stable condition.   As a result of the police investigation, road closures were in effect for a period of time.   No arrest(s) have been made at this time. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact investigators at 986-6219 or CrimeStoppers at 786-TIPS (8477).     MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION INVOLVING PEDESTRIANS C11-125632 On June 17th, 2011 at approximately 10:45 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to the 100 block of Crestwood Crescent regarding a serious motor vehicle collision involving two pedestrians.   Attending members discovered that two male pedestrians, both 19 years of age were walking eastbound on Crestwood Crescent when that were struck from behind by an eastbound vehicle. Both pedestrians were conveyed to hospital.
