Update - Commercial Robbery Arrest – C14-95099
As previously released - On May 9, 2014 at approximately 4:00 p.m., a female suspect entered the kiosk at a gas bar located in the 700 block of Watt Street and confronted a 20 year-old male employee.
 
The armed suspect demanded that the till be opened at which time an undisclosed amount of cash was obtained. The employee was not injured and the suspect fled with cash, cigarettes and other merchandise.
 
A suspect description was previously provided and public assistance was requested.
 
On May 10, 2014 at approximately 7:30 a.m., the female suspect returned to the same gas bar on Watt Street while attempting to conceal her identity. The same employee was also working who had been victimized by the suspect the previous day. The employee locked the door to the business and contacted police. The suspect was unable to gain entry and eventually fled the area.
 
At approximately 7:45 a.m., the armed female suspect attended to another gas bar located in the 1400 block of Henderson Highway while concealing her identity. The suspect confronted a 25 year-old male employee, demanded cash and made threats to harm him.
 
The female fled in a vehicle after robbing the business of an undisclosed amount of cash.
 
At approximately 8:00 a.m., officers observed the suspect vehicle in the area of Grey Street and Talbot Avenue. East District Community Support Unit and Patrol members took the female into custody.
 
The investigation continued by members of the Major Crimes Unit.
 
Stacey WALDNER, 35 years-old of Winnipeg has been charged with the following offences due to her alleged involvement:
 
Robbery x 3
Disguise with Intent
Uttering Threats
Fail to Comply with Probation Order
 
She remains in custody.
