Monday, April 25th, 2011 MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION INVOLVING PEDESTRIAN C11-77523 As previously released, on Tuesday, April 19th, 2011 at approximately 11:30 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the area of the 1800 block of Main Street regarding a serious motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. Investigators have learned that a vehicle travelling northbound on Main Street in the area of Kingsbury Avenue struck a pedestrian attempting to cross Main Street. The suspect vehicle was observed to flee the scene after the collision occurred. The 27 year old female pedestrian was transported to hospital in critical condition and has since been upgraded to stable condition. The vehicle is described as: a 90's dark coloured, possibly green, Toyota Camry. Information to date suggests the vehicle was being driven by a Caucasian male. This investigation is ongoing by members of the Central Traffic Unit.
