SUSPICIOUS DEATH UPDATE - ARREST – C13-227523
As previously released, on November 4, 2013 at approximately 11:45 p.m. emergency personnel were dispatched to the 1st 100 block of Albert Street for the report of an injured male.
 
Responding members located at 42 year old male suffering injuries from an apparent fall.  He was transported to hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries.
 
The victim has been identified as Christopher Paul MAIER 42 years of Winnipeg.
 
The investigation continued by members of the Homicide Unit and several people were interviewed. 
 
It was learned that a physical altercation between the victim and the accused had occurred.  Fearing for his safety, the victim fled to his third floor suite followed by the suspect which later resulted in the victim falling from a window.
 
A suspect was identified and arrested.
 
Adam John PERRIER 33 years of Winnipeg has been charged with Manslaughter, Break Enter & Commit – Dwelling House (COMMIT ASSAULT) & Forcible Confinement for his alleged involvement.
 
He was detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Homicide Unit.
