ATTEMPTED MURDER INVESTIGATION- MALE YOUTH WANTED - C13-123329
As previously released, on June 24, 2013 at approximately 1:30 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the area of Sherbrook Street and Wolseley Avenue regarding the sound of shots.

The investigation revealed that a firearm was discharged in the direction of a parked vehicle striking one of the occupants. The suspect(s) fled and the victim made his way to hospital after sustaining serious injuries.  A 17 year old male remains in critical condition.
 
Investigators have obtained a Court Order authorizing the release of the identity of a youth suspect sought in connection with this incident.
 
A Canada-wide warrant for Attempt Murder x 2 is currently in effect for the arrest of fourteen year old Matthew Jonathon MCKAY.

MCKAY is described as Aboriginal, 5'10" tall, 138 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes, and tattoos "B Side" on his hands, "BSCF" on his neck and "WB" on his right inner forearm.
 
The investigation is continuing by the Winnipeg Police Service Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information pertaining to MCKAY's whereabouts is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8377).
 
NOTE: As the Court Order authorizing the release of MCKAY's identity expires on November 9, 2013 at 11:59pm, media outlets are reminded not to publish his name or photograph after that date.   This release is authorized for media outlets only within the Province of Manitoba.
