DRUG WARRANTS ARREST – R13-082070
Recently, members of the Winnipeg Police Service's Marihuana Grow Operation unit became involved in a drug investigation regarding residences in the 200 block of Manitoba Avenue and 400 block of Alfred Avenue.  As a result of the investigation two Controlled Drug and Substances Act (CDSA) Search Warrants were applied for and granted.
 
On Wednesday, November 13, 2013 with the assistance of District 3 uniform members and the Tactical Support Team both warrants were executed.  As a result the following was seized:

  • 816 marihuana plants with an estimated street value of $913,920.00
  • 6 grams of Cannabis Marihuana with an estimated street value of $60.00
  • Grow operation equipment valued at $10,000.00
  • $6,500.00 in Canadian Currency
  • Gold valued at $10,000.00

A 49 year old male from Winnipeg was arrested for his alleged involvement and is facing several charges.
 
He was released via a Promise to Appear.
