HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION – C13-235535
On November 15, 2013 shortly after 9:00 p.m. emergency personnel were dispatched to the 2100 block of Portage Avenue for the report of a male having been assaulted.
 
Upon arrival three people were located suffering from various injuries.  A 32 year old female and 42 year old male were transported to hospital in stable condition. 
 
A 39 year old male was transported to hospital in critical condition with upper body injuries.  He later succumbed to those injuries.  His name is not being released at this time.
 
No further information is available at this time.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE – C13-236162
On November 16, 2013 shortly after 8:30 p.m. Winnipeg Police Services and Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Services were dispatched to the area of Jubilee and Osborne near the Red River. Information at the time was that a male in his late teens was running through traffic and then jumped off the Osborne Bridge into the river. Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Services conducted a water search in the immediate area, but this was suspended until daylight resumed. The WPS Underwater Search and Recovery Unit will be attempting further search operations today, conditions permitting.
 
The male was described as 16 to 19 years old, Asian or Aboriginal in appearance, short height, small build, with short black hair wearing a dark blue windbreaker and possibly carrying back pack.
