Correction:  Updated information below. Monday, November 18, 2013     HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION UPDATE - ARREST – C13-235535 As previously released, on November 15, 2013 shortly after 9:00 p.m. emergency personnel were dispatched to the 2100 block of Portage Avenue for the report of a male having been assaulted.   Upon arrival three people were located suffering from various injuries.  A 32 year old female and 42 year old male were transported to hospital in stable condition.    A 39 year old male was transported to hospital in critical condition with upper body injuries and later succumbed to those injuries.    The victim has been identified as 39 year old Brandon Lee HOW of Winnipeg.   The investigation continued by members of the Homicide Unit.    It was learned that all three persons had been socializing when the two men got into a physical altercation which resulted in the 42 year old male suffering upper body injuries.    An altercation then ensued between the female and victim which ended with the female stabbing the victim in the upper body.   Dawn Marie MCFADYEN 32 years of Winnipeg has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder.   She was detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.     SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE – C13-236162 On November 16, 2013 shortly after 8:30 p.m. Winnipeg Police Services and Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Services were dispatched to the area of Jubilee and Osborne near the Red River. Information at the time was that a male in his late teens was running through traffic and then jumped off the Osborne Bridge into the river. Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Services conducted a water search in the immediate area, but this was suspended until daylight resumed.
