SEXUAL ASSAULT   C13237789
On November 19, 2013 Winnipeg Police Service responded to a report of a sexual assault that had occurred at approximately 7:00 a.m. in the area of Corydon Avenue and Nassau Street.
 
The investigation revealed that a 35 year-old female had been in the area at a bus stop. An unknown male, who was also in the area, approached her and groped her from behind. The victim confronted the suspect at which time the male fled the area.
 
The suspect is described as: Male, Caucasian, 5'6"-5'7", mid-30's, slim build, wearing a black jacket, black toque, blue jeans and dark boots.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Sex Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact police at (204) 986-6245 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
 
 
STRONG ARM ROBBERY – ARREST C13-283267
On November 19, 2013 Winnipeg Police General Patrol responded to the report of a robbery that had occurred earlier. The investigation revealed that at approximately 5:00 p.m. the victim, a 30 year-old male, was in the rear lane of the 300 block of Stradbrook Avenue when he was approached by a male youth who asked him for a cigarette. The victim refused and was tackled from behind. Two additional male suspects surrounded the victim who was then assaulted and robbed of his personal property. The victim sustained minor injuries.
 
At approximately 9:15 p.m. on the same evening police were dispatched to a report of a robbery in the area of Robson Street and Kernaghan Avenue. A 15 year-old male reported that he was confronted by 3 unknown male youths. The victim was assaulted and robbed of his personal property. The victim sustained minor injuries.
 
At approximately 2:30 a.m. on November 20th the resulting investigation lead to the arrests 3 male youths.
 
A 14 year-old was charged with Robbery with Violence x 2
A 16 year-old was charged with Robbery with Violence x 2, Fail to Comply Disposition
A 15 year old was charged with Robbery with Violence x 2, Fail to Comply Undertaking
 
The 14 year-old was released on a Promise to Appear. Both the 15 and 16 year-olds were detained at the Manitoba Youth Centre.
