Robbery - Arrests: C18-201958

On September 13, 2018, at approximately 8:30 p.m. North District General Patrol members responded to a report of a robbery in the 900 block of Jefferson Ave. Three males entered a liquor outlet at this location. One male selected two bottles of liquor and ran towards the exit. A second male entered the store, produced a silver handgun and pointed it at employees. All three males then fled. No one was injured during the incident.

Three youths matching the suspects' description were located in the lane in the 100 block of Mapleglen Dr. The males were found to be in possession of the stolen bottles of liquor and an imitation handgun.

Three males, ages 14, 15 and 17 years old, have been arrested and remain in custody.

The 14-year-old male has been charged with:

  • Armed Robbery using a Firearm
  • Pointing a Firearm
  • Fail to Comply with Sentence X2
  • Possess Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
  • Carry Concealed Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
  • Possession of a Weapon
  • Possess Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized

The 15-year-old male has been charged with Armed Robbery using a Firearm.

The 17-year-old male has been charged with:

  • Armed Robbery using a Firearm
  • Possess Firearm, Restricted/prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
  • Carry Concealed Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
  • Possession of a Weapon
  • Possess Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
  • Fail to Comply with Sentence
  • Fail to Comply with Undertaking X2

 

Commercial Break-in: C18-201514

Winnipeg Police are investigating a report of a commercial break-in that occurred in the early hours of September 13, 2018, to a business located in the 1300 block of Pacific Ave.

The suspect or suspects entered a locked compound where and they stole a quantity of tools as well as these 3 vehicles:

  •  A 2013 Dodge RAM 5500 flatbed, white in colour, carrying a large commercial generator. Manitoba licence plate CGX415. The actual vehicle is pictured below.

  •  A 2000 BMW model 323, silver in colour. No licence plate.  A similar vehicle is pictured below.

  •  A 2017 GMC C/R 3500 cube van, white in colour, bearing Manitoba licence HUC957.

This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
