Assault with a Weapon – Investigation: C18-196505
 
As previously released:
 
On September 7, 2018, at approximately 3:15 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a report of an incident involving a vehicle at a business in the area of Gateway Road and McLeod Avenue.
 
A male victim had come across his vehicle which had been stolen earlier in the week from the Rossmere area. The victim attempted to stop the driver of the stolen vehicle but was dragged and injured. He was transported to hospital in stable condition.
 
The stolen vehicle was later recovered by police.
 
On September 12, 2018, the Winnipeg Police Service issued a media release asking the public with their assistance in locating two individuals believed to be responsible for the incident.
 
Arrest warrants had been issued for both Melissa Ashley Forest, a (now) 26-year-old female, and Scott Kenneth Lindell, a 39-year-old male.
 
Update:
 
On September 24, 2018, at approximately 10:40 p.m., West District Community Support Unit officers located Forest at a residence in the 1000 block of Fleet Avenue and took her into custody.
 
On September 26, 2018, at approximately 1:40 a.m., North District General Patrol officers located Lindell near a residence in the 200 block of Adsum Drive and took him into custody.
 
They have been remanded into custody.
