Our Budget, Forward 2015 "Let's talk Priorities, Volume 5"

Spending wisely, meeting collective needs, creating the future we want A big thanks to all of you who participated in Phase 2 "Let's Talk Priorities" of the City of Winnipeg's engagement process for the 2015-17 Operating Budget and the 2015-2020 Capital Budget. This phase of engagement is now officially closed. We are grateful to all of those who signed in and participated online, attended a Budget Talk, visited our Talk Truck and especially to those who hosted their own conversations to help bring others together for this important discussion. We have input from hundreds of Winnipeggers and we are now in the process of gathering and analyzing all of your thoughts and ideas. In July we will be sharing the first volume of "What We've Heard", with a second volume following in August. We'll let you know when this information is available. In November, Phase 3 "Let's Talk Choices" will launch and you will have the opportunity to weigh the pros and cons of different options and provide your thoughts and feedback on specific solutions and choices. After this, final recommendations will be provided to Council in December 2014 for consideration in decision-making on the budgets.   Here's what we've heard from Winnipeggers: "It was great to hear different views and hear opinions" "Key to significance will be to see reporting and implementation and response."
