Suspicious Person – C14-113840
On June 1, 2014 shortly after 10:00 p.m. Winnipeg Police Service members were dispatched for the report of a suspicious person.
 
Attending officers spoke with the complainant who advised that earlier in the evening his 9 year old son, along with several other children, had been playing in a school yard in the 1st 100 block of Princemere Road.  While near the sidewalk his son observed a vehicle with a male driver parked on the road.  The driver called out 'Hey get in my car' and then opened the rear sliding door.  The child immediately ran off and police were contacted.
 
The suspect male is described as: Caucasian, 30-40 years of age with medium length brown hair.  He was wearing a black shirt.
 
The vehicle is described as: blue minivan.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the West District Crime Unit. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-2877 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
