Break & Enter Arrest – C14-114880
On May 28, 2014 at approximately 3:30 a.m. the Winnipeg Police Service received the report of break & enter to an attached garage that had just occurred in the 1st 100 block of Ranchgrove Bay.
 
Officers met with the homeowner who advised that he had heard his garage door opening.  When he went to investigate he found that his vehicles parked in the driveway had been broken into.  One of the vehicles contained a remote which the suspects then used to enter the garage.  Personal property was stolen as a result.
 
On June 3, 2014 shortly before 6:30 a.m. a homeowner in the 300 block of Regent Avenue West observed two males breaking into his detached garage.  The homeowner gave chase, apprehended one of the males and held him for police.  The second male made good his escape.
 
Members of the East District Crime Unit continued with the investigation and were able to link the suspect to the first incident.
 
A 13 year old male from Winnipeg has been charged with Break Enter & Commit – Place, Break Enter & Commit – Dwelling House and Possession of a Scheduled Substance – CANNABIS (MARIHUANA) for his alleged involvement.
 
He was detained at the Manitoba Youth Centre.
 
The investigation is continuing by East District Crime Unit members and a second arrest is expected.
 
 
Commercial Robbery Arrest – C14-115249
On June 3, 2014 at approximately 2:30 p.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched for the report of a commercial robbery in the 1100 block of Main Street.
 
Information provided was that an armed male had robbed a coffee shop of an undisclosed amount of money.  He fled on foot and was observed by passers-by in the 100 block of Aberdeen Avenue where officers located and arrested him without incident.
 
The investigation continued by members of the Major Crimes Unit.
 
Christopher Kenneth PINK 31 years of Winnipeg has been charged Robbery & Fail to Comply with Probation Order for his alleged involvement.
 
He was detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
