Marihuana Grow Operation Arrests – R14-38876
As a result of a recent investigation, members of the Marihuana Grow Operation Unit applied for and were granted two Controlled Drug & Substances Act (CDSA) search warrants.
 
On June 12, with the assistance of District 3 Community Support & Tactical Support Team members, the two warrants were executed.
 
Two adults were located and arrested during the execution of the first warrant in the 600 block of Aberdeen Avenue.
 
A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of the following:

  • 161 Marihuana plants with an estimated street value of $180,320.00
  • Grow Equipment valued at $2,500.00.

The second search warrant was executed in the 1st 100 block of Celina Cove.  Seized from within the residence was:

  • 22 pounds of dry Marihuana  with an estimated street value of $55,000.00
  • Grow Equipment valued at $5,000.00
  • $200 in Canadian currency

A 57- year-old female & 56-year-old male, both of Winnipeg, are facing charges of Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – CANNABIS MARIHUANA X 2. Produce a Scheduled Substance – CANNABIS MARIHUANA & Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime.

They were released via Promises to Appear.
