Our Budget, Forward 2015 "Let's talk Priorities, Volume 4"

Our Budget Forward - 2015 Budget

Spending wisely, meeting collective needs, creating the future we want

This is your final week to participate in Phase 2 "Let's Talk Priorities" of the City of Winnipeg's engagement process for the 2015-2017 Operating Budget and the 2015-2020 Capital Budget. Please provide your input before June 22.

Our perspectives are diverse so we need to have as many Winnipeggers as possible involved in the conversation.

Our Last Talk Truck Will Be Visiting The Aboriginal Day Celebrations

Stop by and share your ideas on Saturday, June 21 at The Forks from 11:00am to 1:00pm.

Here Are Some Examples of The Biggest and Best Ideas We've Heard So Far from Winnipeggers:

"Planning must be done by the City of Winnipeg to prepare a multi-year master infrastructure plan to manage Winnipeg's green space, forest, urban wilderness and connecting corridors. With good planning and investment they will be there for generations to come. The economic benefits of green space are multifaceted and complicated to measure but we know they are significant."

"I want to know where we are going and how we are going to get there with replacing our crumbling infrastructure. I'm willing to pay for its renewal if I know the what, how and why & cost."

"City planning needs to be a dialogue between parties, not an outcome dictated."

"I would love to see the City of Winnipeg make an intentional effort to create a healthy community through evidence-based, people-centred ideas; address the social determinants of health in order to build a healthier society."
