Sexual Assault Arrest – C14-71734
On April 9, 2014 the Winnipeg Police Service received the report of a sexual assault that occurred at a public pool in the St. Vital area.
 
Attending officers met with the complainant who advised that her 5 year old son had been inappropriately touched by another patron.
 
Members of the Child Abuse Unit continued with the investigation and as a result arrested the suspect for his alleged involvement.
 
Jonathan Alexander BAKER 23 years of Winnipeg has been charged with Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 years of age, Sexual Interference & Fail to Comply with Probation Order.
 
He was detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
 
 
Motor Vehicle Collision Involving Pedestrian –
C14-76062

On April 16, 2014 shortly after 12:00 a.m. emergency personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Regent Avenue & Lagimodiere Boulevard for the report of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.
 
Attending members located a male suffering serious injury.  He was transported to hospital in critical condition.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Central Traffic Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter who has not yet spoken with police is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6271 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
