Assault and Robbery – Arrest – C14-82328
On April 24, 2014 at approximately 6:40 a.m., Division 11 Patrol members responded to the report of a fight in progress in the area of Main Street and William Avenue.
 
A witness advised police that two males were observed within a bus shelter where one of the males was being seriously assaulted. The injured male was then robbed of his personal property and the suspect fled northbound on Main Street.
 
The 51 year-old male victim is in stable condition.
 
Attending members located the suspect who became very aggressive and combative with them. It was at this time officers de-escalated the situation and safely took the hostile male into custody.
 
Konrad SANDY, 34 years-old of Winnipeg has been charged with the following offences due to his alleged involvement:
 
Assault Cause Bodily Harm
Robbery
Assault Peace Officer x 2
Possession of Weapon
Fail to Comply with Condition of a Recognizance x 3
Fail to Comply with Probation Order x 4
 
He was remanded into custody.
